me translate, if the only way you can play poker is by the means of credit
you do not qualify.
Sorry, but if you have the stress of credit cards or a second mortgage
on your mind then you do not qualify. (That factor of being bankrolled
on credit will keep you from taking implied risks.)
#3. You're not disciplined – There will
be situations where our strategies require you step down in stakes. For
example, a couple losing sessions could require you to step down from
$2-$4NL to $1-$2NL.
Plus, there will be situations where you must swallow your pride, accept
a losing session and move on.

The story behind that image above is this... I found this player when
looking for a profitable table to sit down at. I watch the action at the
table for a couple minutes an this guy was in every hand. So I decided
to jump on the waiting list.
By the time I actually got a chance to sit down it was over! I literally watched this guy lose all his money while the other player patiently waited for him and then capitalized on his mistakes.
Cash Games Are Kind Of Like The Stock Market
For every winner there must be a loser. And sadly
enough there’s more losers out there than winners. Mainly because
there’s a lot of players who are trying to stroke their ego playing
cash games versus making money.
Here's a quick story..
My friend, Scott, came to visit me here in Vegas not too long ago.
Scott's not a poker professional - He's your typical 9-5 guy who enjoys getting into a game of poker from time to time.
Anyway, when Scott was visiting we decided to eat dinner at the MGM then hit the casino for a little action.
I hung out with Scott for about an hour or so, he was doing pretty good at blackjack. So I decided to let him do his thing while I hit the poker room.
Well, a couple hours later I'm playing $2/$5 NL in the poker room. I see Scott waiting in line to get on the waiting list. So I get up for a minute, walk over to him, and asked him how he's doing for the night. He said, "Man, I'm up $800 and I'm about to make some serious cheese in the poker room".
Just being the friend I am, I told Scott to just be patient at the tables. It's not like the house games - poker's a skilled game.
(Fast forward about 1.5hr later)
I walk out of the poker room looking for a waitress (I wanted a cocktail). Low and behold I see Scott at the ATM machine.
I walk over and ask, "Dude, what happened?" Then he immidiately starts telling me some bad beat story. And while he's telling me this story, I'm thinking myself, "Man, you just don't have any idea...".
End of Story
Here's The Reality of Cash Games
You see most of recreational gamblers like Scott will make a little money at the general table games, such as, blackjack or three card poker. Then they try to build their ego by trying to make some money at the poker table.(After all it looked easy on television).
When a recreational player sits down at the table they're looking to get lucky versus using skill. Don't get me wrong, lucky players will get lucky - it's a fact.
Most players looking to get lucky or go on a quick $1k - $5k run will end up losing. Sorry, that's just how it works (Unless your last name is Gold)...
Poker's a game of skill - I've been playing it almost
a decade now and unlike many players I have the competitive edge.

Where do I start
for what info I think helped me in the 1st The Micon System.I
think the info on playing draws in and out of position( specifically
not trying to semi-bluff or outright bluff with to many people
in the hand). I felt I had a good understanding of pot-odds
but the info on betting draws or when to check and call was
GREAT in my opinion. Playing A,K with or without position. Playing
pairs information was very interesting learning that late in
a tourney with everyone going all in it was OK to laydown small
pairs because the odds just were not good enough in most cases.I
have read no less than a dozen poker books by "top pros" and

After playing
for about a year, and buying all the books, and going to all
the sites, I ran across "The Micon" system and thought just

I had been

As a person
